Zungle Panther, fashion sunglasses with bone conduction speakers

The Panther, made by Zungle, looks like a pair of regular, fashion conscious sunglasses. It doubles as a wireless Bluetooth headset without plugging anything into your ears, thanks to the bone conduction technology.  The Panther makes a handy and trendy addition to your outdoor gears.

How does Panther work?

The Panther sunglasses feature a set of bone conduction speakers in the legs of the glasses and a microphone hidden along the top. Bone conduction speakers aren’t a new technology–Google made a debut of the tech with Google Glass a few years ago. Bone conduction speakers conduct sounds through vibrations on a hard surface, or in this case, the user’s skull.

This might sound a bit creepy, but they are entirely safe and beneficial to users. Because earbuds aren’t clogging the ear canal, the wearer can still hear all of their surroundings, important to someone riding a bike or driving a car. The way bone conduction technology works also ensure no one around you can hear what you’re listening too, offering complete privacy without annoying others.

The design

Zungle made the product fashion forward and easy to use. The Panther has a single jog dial to control all the functions of the device. The USB charger port looks to be intelligently integrated and hidden. They look fashionable, and the lenses can also be swapped out for a standard pair of Oakley-branded lenses.
